Position Title: MEDICAL BILLER

Location: Peninsula Billing Solutions, Inc., 23670 Hawthorne Blvd., #206, Torrance, CA 90505

Job Duties:

• Accurately assign CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for psychiatric and behavioral health services; Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies and patients in compliance with payer requirements; Manage billing processes for both insurance reimbursements and patient statements; Review and resolve denied or rejected claims, ensuring prompt resubmission; Obtain and track pre-authorizations and prior approvals as required; Maintain accurate and confidential patient and billing records in compliance with HIPAA; Collaborate with providers and administrative staff to clarify documentation and ensure coding accuracy; Stay updated on current coding regulations, payer policies, and compliance standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or a closely related behavioral science field; 12 months of experience in medical billing, coding, or healthcare administration

Wage: $55,037 per year

Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
